One Week Later

Hi Guys,

I just wanted to thank al those out there who've been so fabulous the past week. It's definitely been a bit of a roller coaster ride for me.
Given that all the recent attention that I've been getting, (as a result of Phil and a lot of other factors) is wearing off, I've found that I've been taking the sudden drop in views [and unsubscriptions] to heart.

Coming to that conclusion has snapped me back into focusing on what I really should be doing... producing content that I'm proud of and is sustainable.

To all of you out there who've given me the chance to experiment with different things, and given me direction, and stood by me as I've waddled through... well... you're all just fabulous!

I've been thinking of venturing out into the outside world with my trusty video recorder and showing you around a day in my life. It'll be a big step for me... somewhat worried (and dreading!!) it, but I'm sure I won't get yelled at in a public space of anything... hmmm...we'll see.

Day 4. Check.

Hi Guys,

So I've been having a slight problem trying to get my message across.
I have a feeling it's got to do with my lifelong fear of cameras.

But one never really knows.

According to people close to me I get VERY heated when it comes to discussing controversial issues, and even though I end up on the very unpopular side of a debate, I somehow always (ok usually) win people over. And for some reason it's jut not translating to these vlogs.... maybe it has to do with the fear of never having enough info (and the fact that once it's out there it can never be taken back... maybe).

Or maybe it's just the fact that it's day 4 of my crazy adventure!
Let me know what you think (and if you have any ideas on how I should get better let me know!)

Updates!

Hey Y'all,


I'm back!
It's been a rough couple of months, but I've decided to get back into the swing of things and get writing. Granted, it's difficult keeping to it if you don't have a dedicated following, or anyone following for that fact, but after watching Julie & Julia, I've been given the 'zing' necessary to get on with it, so here I go!


Updates since the last time we spoke:


1. I've graduated (woohoo) and working hard at a top notch company.
It's ben hard getting used to a new routine, new people new atmosphere and a new line of work, but I've approached it as a daily challenge, which I think has helped quite significantly.


2. Moved to Bahrain
Yes, Yes I know.  I never really thought I'd move back here, but here I am.  It's crazy.  I thought I would be jumping for joy, at being back, but now that I'm here it all seems too familiar.


I love the Bahrain that I grew up in.  The serene island in the middle of the Gulf, bobbing along, doing what it does best.  But since I've been back, quite a few things have changed, and its been interesting to see how that affected the people, the attitudes and the demographics.


And since all I've been doing since coming back here is work work work,  i've decided to make this blog my little pet project, and expose the world to my little world here in Bahrain.  I will try to write as much as possible about this fabulous country, and let everyone out there know amazing life here is for an expat!

First steps...

Hi everyone!

I'm SO SO excited to be starting off this blog.  In a few weeks once I graduate I'll be able to really get this going.

So you're probably wondering... why should I follow this blog? 

Well this blog will be a snapshot of my day to day life, and will focus on issues such as global dialogue, and cross-cultural understanding.  If you have any interest in being a part of this project, then I would absolutely love your input. 

Tea in the Sea will also look at the arts, the media and politics, and their impact in cross-cultural understanding and conflict.  

New projects from around the world will be discussed, so if you hear of anything, please let me know!
